Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Exceptional Education Teacher to support students in Smithville, TN. You’ll provide individualized instruction, develop IEPs, and create inclusive learning environments that help students succeed.

You’ll work with a collaborative district and a supportive, therapist-run team, with a full‑year, 1.0 FTE commitment starting August 2026. Competitive pay up to $50/hour and a stable school-year schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• TN certification for Special Education Teaching with Interventionist or Comprehensive Endorsement.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
• Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
