Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment in Sierra Vista, AZ. The teacher will provide high-quality services to K–12 students under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator.

The role emphasizes collaboration with planning teams, instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff to tailor programs for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• CPR certification current and health-screening requirements as applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray or state requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality special education services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Participate in planning and implementing student programs with the Special Education team.
• Deliver instruction, tutoring, and consultation with general education staff as needed.
