Job summary

The role emphasizes collaboration with colleagues, planning and implementing individualized student programs, and offering instructional and tutorial support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching certificates as required by state regulations.
• Compliance with CPR/health and TB requirements where applicable.
• Meet federal, state and local regulatory requirements and age requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Participate in planning and implementing student programs including special instruction and tutorials.
• Consult with general education staff to support inclusive education and student progress.

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
