Job summary

Onward Search Education in Providence County, Rhode Island, is hiring a Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year to support elementary students (Grades K-8) in on-site programs.

The role involves providing individualized instruction, developing and monitoring IEPs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure access and inclusion. The position is 35 hours per week, on-site, for the 2026/2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field.
• Appropriate Rhode Island teaching licensure/certification for Special Education (or ability to obtain).
• Experience supporting students with disabilities in school-based settings (elementary preferred).
• Strong skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and progress monitoring/data collection.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with families.

Responsibilities

Onward Search Education is partnering with a school district in Providence County, Rhode Island to hire Special Education Teachers for the 2026/2027 school year. This is an on-site opportunity supporting elementary special education (Grades K-8) within specialized programs/classrooms.

As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide highly individualized instruction and targeted supports for students with disabilities, helping them access curriculum, build skills, and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
