Merakey is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a K-12 school in Philadelphia, PA. The role focuses on delivering individualized instruction, designing and monitoring IEPs, and coordinating with related services to support student progress.

• Must possess Pennsylvania Special Education certificate; or Pennsylvania Private Academic certification with ability to attain public certification within one year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in an individualized program for students to empower them to become happy, confident, and productive members of their community.
• Design, supervise and implement students’ IEP plans.
• Create and coordinate student schedules with related services and general education.
• Collect and analyze student data and monitor student progress.
• Coordinate services with a large team of professionals.
• Participate in staff development trainings focusing on students with Autism.
• Implement state-of-the-art strategies to work effectively with students with Autism.

Position Details

• Participate in several staff development training courses that focus on working with students with Autism.
• Implement state of the art strategies to work effectively with students with Autism.
