Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Special Education Teacher for an Affective Needs classroom in a school setting in Colorado. The role requires an in-hand Colorado CDE license and fingerprinting clearance as required by the district. Day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with paraprofessional support for 8-10 students.

You will collaborate with paraprofessionals to support student learning and ensure timely fingerprinting clearance upon contract signing, meeting district requirements for the placement.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license in-hand; no pending licenses accepted.
• Must complete Colorado CBI and FBI fingerprinting clearance as required by the school district.

Responsibilities

• Non-clinical school-based setting at a middle school.
• Affective Needs classroom.
• Typical caseload of 8-10 students.
• Paraprofessional support provided.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
