Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) in Lakeview, Michigan, is looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role involves creating and executing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and collaborating with staff and families to ensure the success of students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience working with K-12 children is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate progress and struggles with staff and family members.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans for approval by administrators.
• Participate in IEP meetings with the school.
• Use techniques to reinforce student learning effectively.
• Invite family members to participate in educational progress.
• Create and distribute quarterly progress reports.
• Confer with on-site therapists regarding behavioral issues.
• Maintain a safe, productive classroom environment.

Special Education Teacher Responsibilities

• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to keep each student on the path toward greatness
