Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Minnesota. You will create and implement IEPs for K-12 students, and collaborate closely with families and school staff in a supportive, positive environment.

Qualifications

• Teaching license with endorsements in Special Education.
• Experience working with K-12 children.
• Ability to develop IEPs and collaborate with families.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate progress with staff and families about each student's progress and struggles.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and obtain administrator approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student progress.
• Invite family involvement in each student's education.
• Create and distribute quarterly progress reports.
• Coordinate with on-site therapist regarding disciplinary and behavioral issues.
• Maintain a safe, productive classroom environment.

Special Education Teacher Responsibilities:

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each of the students in your care
