Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students in the Indianapolis area. You will work under the Special Education Program Administrator to plan, implement individualized programs, and coordinate with general education staff.

Required: Bachelor's Degree, valid state teaching certificate; preferred LBS1 endorsement. CPR and health clearance as required. We offer competitive pay and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students Kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Collaborate with general education staff in planning and implementing student programs.
• Engage in team planning and implementation of individualized instruction and tutorials.
• Confer with parents and staff to support student progress and compliance with regulations.

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
