Job summary

Candor is seeking a Special Education Teacher to empower students and schools. You’ll develop IEPs, deliver differentiated instruction in inclusion and resource settings, and monitor progress to meet goals.

Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families; participate in ARD meetings; promote positive behavior and inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Valid Texas Educator Certification in Special Education (EC-12) through the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
• Knowledge of IDEA and ARD process; CPR certification preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the ARD committee.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in inclusion classrooms and resource rooms to meet academic, social, and behavioral needs.
• Monitor progress by collecting and analyzing data to ensure instructional effectiveness toward IEP goals.

• Promote positive behavior with behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies.
