Job summary

Candor is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to empower students and schools. You will collaborate with ARD committees to create and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs, and deliver differentiated instruction in various settings to meet diverse goals.

You will monitor progress using data, work with teams and families, and promote positive behavior through BIPs. This role offers flexible scheduling and growth opportunities within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Texas EC-12 Special Education Certification (TEA).
• Knowledge of IDEA and ARD process; CPR certification preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

• Certification:Valid Texas Educator Certification in Special Education (EC-12) through the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

Your Role:

• Collaborate with Teams:Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support students’ success. Actively participate in ARD meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.




• Promote Positive Behavior:Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies that foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.




• Support Students’ Growth:Address students’ academic, social, and emotional needs through individualized support, accommodations, and modifications.
