Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in school-based settings across Florence, South Carolina. This full-time contract position offers collaborative environments and opportunities to deliver individualized academic and behavioral supports within diverse classrooms.

Responsibilities include developing IEPs, differentiated instruction, and collaboration with general educators and families.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Active South Carolina Special Education teaching certification required (or reciprocity pathways).
• Experience with mild/moderate to disabilities, autism or early childhood special education preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and meet compliance timelines.
• Passion for supporting students with diverse educational and behavioral needs.

Schedule: Full-time, school-based (Part-time candidates Will also be considered)

Pay Rate: Starting at $38/hour (dependent on experience)

Position Overview

Birch Agency is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support students in school-based settings throughout Florence, South Carolina. These opportunities allow educators to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized academic, behavioral, and developmental support to students with diverse learning needs.

We are actively seeking professionals who are passionate about creating structured, supportive learning environments and helping students reach their full academic and social potential.

Current Openings Include a Variety Of Classroom Settings, Including

• Special Pre-K Classroom
• Autism Self-Contained Classroom
• Additional elementary, middle, and high school special education opportunities based on district needs

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and educational goals.
• Provide differentiated instruction for students with a variety of disabilities and learning challenges.
• Deliver services in inclusive, self-contained, push-in, or pull-out models depending on student placement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field preferred.
• Active South Carolina Special Education teaching certification required (or ability to obtain through reciprocity/provisional pathways).
• Experience working with students with mild/moderate, moderate/severe disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or early childhood special education preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Passion for supporting students with diverse educational and behavioral needs.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and meet compliance timelines.
