Job summary

Lydia Home Association in Evanston, IL is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support learners ages 12–21 with individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals. The role emphasizes collaboration, inclusive practices, and a safe learning environment.

You will co-teach or lead a special education classroom, develop differentiated lessons, monitor progress, and maintain documentation while partnering with families and multidisciplinary teams to help every student succeed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid PEL with LBS1 endorsement.
  • Supervisory Endorsement required.
  • Experience with diverse learners and varying academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities
