We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative school environment. Position Overview

The Special Education Teacher will provide specially designed instruction aligned with IEP goals and state standards. The role may support students in a resource, inclusion, or self-contained setting, depending on school needs and teacher experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide differentiated instruction tailored to students with disabilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor progress toward IEP goals
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state special education regulations
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
  • Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid state Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
  • Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP development, accommodations, and modifications
  • Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
