Job summary

Boothby Therapy Services in Maine is seeking Special Education teachers for multiple openings across the state for the 2026–2027 school year. Roles include Early Childhood through High School settings, with diverse caseloads and targeted supports.

We tailor placements to your experience, population, and geographic preference. As part of Boothby, you gain dedicated support, mentorship, collaboration with SLPs, OTs, PTs, and district teams, plus competitive compensation and licensure assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field required.
• Valid Maine Special Education certification or eligibility for certification.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Experience in school-based special education settings preferred.
• New graduates and experienced educators encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving special education services.
• Develop, implement, and manage IEPs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions.
• Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.
