Job summary

Boothby Therapy Services in Maine is actively hiring Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. We partner with school districts across the state and match candidates to Early Childhood through High School roles, including life skills and self-contained classrooms.

Join a team that emphasizes personalized placement, strong support, and collaboration with SLPs, OTs, PTs, school psychologists, and district staff to ensure students receive inclusive, high-quality education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field required.
  • Valid Maine Special Education certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving special education services.
  • Develop, implement, and manage IEPs.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions.
  • Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.
  • Foster inclusive and supportive learning environments.

Responsibilities
