Job summary

Plan Bee Academy in West Virginia seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to create an inclusive classroom that serves students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities. You will design engaging lessons that weave evidence-based instruction with behavioral supports to help each student reach academic and personal goals.

Collaborate with families and specialists, document progress, and ensure compliance with state standards while fostering independence, confidence, and success

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Eligibility for Virginia Department of Education special education endorsement.
• Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license.

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Virginia Standards of Learning and individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs using research-based strategies and behavior analytic principles.
• Collaborate with behavior specialists, therapists, and families to support academic and behavioral progress.
• Assess student performance and adjust instruction to promote mastery and engagement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student data, progress, and compliance with state and school requirements.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
