Job summary

Lakeside Educational Network is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the Upper Merion Vantage Academy Campus in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania. You will support middle and high school students needing learning and emotional support, fostering an inclusive, collaborative learning environment with families and staff.

The role focuses on individualizing instruction, developing IEPs, and coordinating with peers to promote academic and personal growth for students with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification.
• Experience teaching middle and high school students in SPED.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and case management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with diverse needs.
• Teach or co-teach classes with adaptable instructional strategies.
• Manage resource room support and provide targeted interventions.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to support students.
• Monitor and document progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate records related to IEPs and assessments.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.

Requirements

Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification Required- Secondary Level Preferred.
