Job summary

Amergis Staffing Services is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher for a K-6 charter school in Blythewood, SC for the 2026-2027 year. The role requires SPED certification and involves full-time, in-person work, Monday through Friday, with 37.5–40 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include providing quality services to SPED students and collaborating with general education staff in planning student programs while meeting all state, local, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality services to special education students.
• Collaborates with general education staff in planning and implementing student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation.
• Participates in team planning and ensures compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
