Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Charlotte, NC. The role is a contract-full-time position paying $45 per hour, with 37.50 hours per week.

The teacher will serve K–12 students under the Special Education Program Administrator, participating in planning and implementing student programs including instruction, tutoring, and collaboration with general education staff. Minimum requirements include a teaching certificate and a relevant degree, plus preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
