Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade. You will deliver quality services and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement individualized student programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, state teaching certification, and at least one year of teaching experience; endorsements such as LBS1 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Elementary/Secondary/Special Teaching preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Current CPR/health certifications and TB/PPD per regulations.

• Provide quality services to special education students in K-12.
• Collaborate with general education staff on planning and implementing programs.
• Participate in team-based planning for student programs and instruction.

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
