Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience with children/young adults.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Safety Care certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm.
• Strong multitasking and confidentiality skills.
• Experience and desire to work with students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom instruction under supervision of lead teacher.
• Support and guide students in a safe, organized classroom.
• Track student progress with classroom system and data sheets.
• Support during non-classroom time and coordinate activities.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions.
• Follow daily schedule and help run small group lessons.
• Complete incident and restraint reports as needed.
• Maintain professional classroom environment.
