Job summary

Scarborough Public Schools in Scarborough, ME seeks compassionate Educational Technicians to support students with disabilities in one-on-one and small-group settings across all grade levels. You will work with teachers to implement IEPs, modify materials, monitor progress, and assist with behavioral support plans, transitions, and data collection to inform instruction.

Experience with special education and CHRC fingerprinting are preferred; certification is required, and all staff participate

Qualifications

• Must hold current Educational Technician certification.
• CHRC fingerprinting (fingerprinting) is required for application.
• School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction in academic, social, and life skills.
• Support students in inclusive classrooms and modify materials as needed.
• Implement behavioral support plans and monitor progress.
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and activities.
• Collect data on student progress and share insights with the team.
• Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and staff to provide appropriate support.
• Assist with personal care tasks if necessary.
• Attend professional development sessions.
