Job summary

Great Hearts North Texas Academies is seeking a Special Student Services - Teaching Assistant to support both general and special education classrooms. This hourly, non-exempt role works under certified teachers to adapt materials, assist with assignments, and help manage behavior across campuses.

A high school diploma or higher is required; associate’s degree preferred and Educational Aide certification is a plus. Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Educational Aide certification I, II, or III preferred.
• Experience in special education requested.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small groups or 1:1 in general and special education settings.
• Assist with assignments, homework, projects, and modifications to materials.
• Help implement behavior management strategies and reinforce classroom rules.
• Support student transitions, personal care, and mobility needs as required.
• Attend meetings and training sessions and provide clerical support to ESS team.
