Job summary

Washington Elementary School District seeks a Special Education Assistant CCA - Paraprofessional for the 26/27 SY to support teachers in diverse classrooms, work with students with special needs, and help prepare materials and activities. Duties include monitoring behavior, communicating with parents, and assisting with lesson plans.

CPR and IVP clearance are required. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 60 college credits or an associate degree, and a valid AZ IVP fingerprint

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED prior to hire.
60 college credits, Associate’s Degree, or passed paraprofessional test (AZ).
CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
Arizona IVP FPCC required.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers with special education students individually or in groups.
Provide materials, handouts, and support in preparing classroom activities.
Monitor student behavior and safety in playgrounds and cafeteria.
Communicate with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
Assist with lesson plans input and photocopying materials.
Support teachers in coordinating activities and maintaining classroom order.
