Job summary

Shelby County Schools seeks an individual to assist special education teachers in instructing and supervising students with disabilities. The role involves preparing instructional materials, supervising students, and creating a well-organized classroom environment.

A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or equivalent education is necessary, along with CPR and First Aid certification. Experience with children in educational settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate’s Degree or equivalent education is required.
• Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in instructing students with disabilities.
• Prepare instructional materials and classrooms for activities.
• Supervise and assist children in the classroom and other areas.
