Job summary

Weymouth Public Schools is seeking an Education Support Professional for Special Education at Weymouth Early Childhood Center. The role supports students with and without disabilities, assists with IEP goals, data collection, and collaboration with teachers and service providers in a fast-paced, inclusive PreK-5 setting.

Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans, supporting daily routines, maintaining confidentiality, and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required.
• Two years post-secondary education (48 credits) required.
• Parapro or WorkKeys assessment.
• Familiarity with Special Education/IEPs preferred.
• Experience with data collection/documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist students for physical, academic, and/or behavioral needs.
• Implement Positive Behavior Support Plans.
• Manage aggressive behaviors and apply de-escalation and safety skills.
• Toileting/Diapering Students.
• Provide specialized learning techniques and activities.
• Monitor progress and document data.
• Use verbal and visual supports for students and model appropriate tasks.
• Accompany students throughout the day as needed (IEP/504).
• Support classroom teacher with duties when necessary.
• Coordinate between teachers and special education liaisons.
• Participate in district-provided job training.
• Other duties as assigned by administrators.
