Job summary

Johnston Community School District's High School in Johnston, IA seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist in delivering educational experiences for students with special needs. This full-time role runs 7:30 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with duties including classroom support, material prep, and aiding with IEP development under supervision. A HS diploma and background check are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising students in the classroom and school areas.
• Prepare materials and assist with classroom tasks as directed.
• Support teachers with homework, tests, and technology as needed.
• Maintain records for individual students and assist with IEP development.
• Assist with personal care tasks including toileting, feeding, and lifting as required.
