Job summary

The position requires eligibility for a Missouri Substitute Teacher’s Certificate (60 college hours) or a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate, with CPR/AED/First Aid certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university approved by the DESE.
• Missouri Teaching Certificate or alternative professional licensure per state rules.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification as specified by MSSD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Analyze learning styles and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Conduct IEP team and special education meetings.
• Coordinate behavioral support/intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors.
• Maintain safe learning environments and confidentiality of student information.
• Carry out daily self-care needs for students as required.
