The position requires a high school diploma and technical training in special education, DPI certification, and CPR/first aid. Health insurance options are available; wage is $21.85 per hour on student/school days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher with technical training in special education.
• DPI certification provided by employee.
• CPR, non-violent crisis intervention, and first aid certifications.
• Two years of higher ed study or an associate degree; ability to assist in reading, writing and math.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in meeting students' needs in the educational environment.
• Support IEP/504 goals and collect related data.
• Promote inclusion and supervise students as directed.
• Lead small groups or one-on-one instruction under teacher guidance.
• Provide basic first aid and maintain relevant logs.
• Prepare notes and materials for substitutes and maintain health-related records.
