Job summary

Amergis, the healthcare staffing provider, is seeking a School Aide in Uniontown, PA to support students with instructional and behavioral needs under supervision of the special education team. The role focuses on assisting with classroom activities and mobility support, as well as coordinating health-related tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and current CPR if applicable, with the ability to meet health and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist students requiring instructional and/or behavioral support under supervision of the special education department, teacher and supervising designee.
• Provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
• Work under supervision to help maintain a safe and conducive learning environment.
