Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide in Downers Grove, IL to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department. The role includes assisting with personal and mobility needs and supporting therapy-related care as directed by health professionals.

Contract is full time with 35 hours per week, paying $25 per hour. The position requires a high school diploma, CPR (if applicable), and compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Comply with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Work with students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under supervision.
• Provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner.
