You will collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families, supervise paraprofessionals, maintain documentation, and monitor progress toward goals in a structured, supportive classroom.

Qualifications

• Valid Missouri Special Education Teaching Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred)
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Provide direct instruction to students individually and in small groups.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
• Supervise and direct paraprofessionals, instructional assistants, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports and compliance records.
• Manage classroom behavior using research-based strategies.
• Lead IEP and evaluation meetings.
• Respond to emergencies and assist medically fragile students as assigned.
