Job summary

Laveen Elementary School District in Laveen, Arizona is seeking a 2026-27 Special Education Resource Teacher to provide targeted instruction for identified students in line with Arizona standards. The role requires CPI/restraint certification, AZ DPI fingerprint clearance, and state-certified qualification.

The teacher reports to the principal and collaborates with general education staff, families, and IEP teams to ensure effective instruction and compliance with all guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree required.
• Arizona Teacher Certification required.
• Must be highly qualified to teach assigned grade/content, CPI/restraint certification and fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Provides services as written in the IEP.
• Maintains current IEPs (within the past 365 days).
• Coordinates with IEP team members to deliver services as written.
• Coordinates with regular education staff to implement accommodations/modifications.
• Schedules IEP meetings and invites stakeholders.
• Ensures IEP compliance with federal/state/district guidelines.
• Provides progress reports to parents quarterly.
• Advises families on progress and strategies for home support.
• Monitors student progress toward goals and adjusts instruction as needed.
• Directs staff and volunteers to support classroom program.
