Job summary

Roma ISD invites applications for the 2025-2026 Special Education Resource Teacher to support students with varied needs in a self-contained or itinerant setting.

The teacher will develop or modify curricula, implement IEP goals, collaborate with ARD committees, and use instructional strategies and assistive tech to meet student needs.

Requirements include Bachelor's degree, Texas teaching certificate with SPED endorsements, and bilingual certification; salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Bilingual Certification.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ARD Committee to develop IEPs for each student.
• Implement instructional or therapeutic programs and document preparation.
• Assess learning styles and plan effective strategies and materials.
• Use diverse instructional methods and media, including technology.
• Support regular class teachers with curriculum modifications as needed.
