Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the specified specialization and grade levels.
• Criminal background check required under WV Code; demonstrated background clearances as applicable.
• Meet WV Code qualifications for WV licensed teachers and Kanawha County requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Kanawha County Schools' standards-based curriculum.
• Implement adopted and supplemental instructional programs.
• Incorporate 21st century technology skills in instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff and teachers.
• Coordinate designated co-curricular activities and field trips as assigned.
• Be accountable for individual student achievement and growth.
• Deliver personalized learning to all students.
• Maintain classroom management and effective communication with students and parents.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Principal.
