Anova Education seeks a Special Education Resource Room Teacher in Washington, DC for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves delivering quality educational programs tailored to the diverse needs of students with IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to foster positive learning environments.

Reports to: Building Administrator
Union: OEA
Plan, prepare and deliver a quality educational program based upon state standards, district curriculum, IEP goals, and effective instruction to students with diverse needs.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree with appropriate endorsement, Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate, Master’s degree, or Doctorate from an accredited university or college.
EXPERIENCE: Appropriate academic background and coursework for the position. Successful teaching experience and effective work with school age students, preferred.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements. Valid WA State driver’s license and appropriate insurance required. Must maintain as current any certification or license listed herein and held at hire date.
CONTINUING EDUCATION/TRAINING: That which is required to be effective in the position and to maintain certification.
CLEARANCES: Criminal Justice fingerprint/Background Clearance.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt.
Starting Date: 2026–2027 School Year (182 total contracted days)
Salary: $66,897 – $128,954 annual salary. Based on education and experience, Per OEA CBA – 2026–2027 Salary Schedule.
Retirement: Pension through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems.
