Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a Special Education Coordinator to support district staff in meeting the educational needs of students with disabilities and ensure compliance with state and federal laws. This 261-day position offers the opportunity to lead program development and evaluation across multiple schools.

Applicants must hold Minnesota Director of Special Education license, a Master's degree in an educational field, and at least two years in a special education administrative role

Qualifications

Minnesota Director of Special Education license required.
Master's degree in an educational field.
Two or more years in a special education administrative position; experience with staff evaluation preferred.
Two or more years of experience developing, implementing and evaluating special programs and working with students with low incidence disabilities.

Responsibilities

Assist district staff to meet the educational needs of students with disabilities and ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate special education programs.
Provide leadership in staff development and program evaluation.
