Job summary

Alpine District in Westmore is seeking a Special Education Preschool Teacher to support instruction for preschool students, including some with special needs, within the classroom and other assigned areas. Responsibilities

• Organizes developmentally appropriate learning opportunities to improve student participation
• Adapts classroom work to address individualized learning needs
• Assesses student progress toward objectives and communicates results to parents and administration
• Directs assistant teacher and paraeducators to support classroom activities
• Collaborates with special education teachers and related staff to provide IEP services
• Manages student behavior to maintain a safe, productive learning environment
• Monitors preschool students across environments for safety and engagement
• Prepares written communication for parents and administrators
• Attends IEP meetings as needed
• Responds to emergencies and health needs promptly
