Job summary

Pelican Elementary School in Klamath Falls, Oregon is seeking a Paraprofessional 2-Resource for Special Education to support students with diverse learning needs under the KFCS district.

The position offers a 6.5-hour workday, a pay rate of $20.57 per hour, and benefits including health, dental and vision contributions, with a starting date of immediately. Pre-employment screenings and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• AA degree or two years of college or passing paraprofessional exam.
• Ability to organize and communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow directions and learn new procedures.
• Ability to provide care for students’ physical needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment of student performance levels.
• Assist in the instructions of individual and groups of students related to IEP goals.
• Assist in feeding, toileting, physical care, health needs and safety of students.
• Assist in supervision and implementation of individualized support plans.
• Assist in recording and maintaining student performance data.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials.
• Supervise activities including cafeteria, bus loading, field trips, hallways and other areas with students.
• Perform clerical tasks and communicate clearly within policies and procedures.
