KLAMATH FALLS CITY SCHOOLS KECDC (ECI) in Klamath Falls, OR is seeking a part-time paraeducator to assist the preschool teacher and support child development.

The role follows the 2026-2027 KECDC schedule, pays about $20.57 per hour, and includes district health, dental, and vision coverage plus PERS retirement contributions. A patient, collaborative approach and ability to supervise and support children are essential.

Qualifications

• CDA, AA degree, or two years of college preferred; or a paraprofessional exam.
• Ability to organize and communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow directions and learn new procedures.
• Ability to provide care for children’s physical needs.
• Ability to project a friendly and supportive attitude.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Food handler's permit required.
• Ability to learn and follow delegable medical procedures.
• Background checks and fingerprinting as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision and instruction of individual children and groups.
• Prepare and sanitize child development learning areas and materials.
• Assist with feeding, toileting, health needs, and safety of children.
• Assist in applying child management procedures.
• Record and maintain child performance data.
• Prepare instructional materials and perform clerical tasks.
• Communicate clearly and work within policies.
• Help establish cooperative relationships and work as part of a team.
• Participate in professional growth activities.
