Job summary

Marion Independent School District is seeking a Special Education Assistant/Paraprofessional for FMI (Francis Marion Intermediate). This full-time role reports to the principal and roster teacher, supporting licensed staff in delivering services to students with IEPs across academic, social, emotional, and behavioral programming.

Responsibilities include instructional support, crisis intervention as needed, and collaboration with the team to implement IEP-driven accommodations and plan execution

Responsibilities

• Assist with academic instruction under the direction of licensed staff.
• Support behavior management and social-emotional interventions.
• Assist with curriculum material adaptation as directed by teachers.
• Collaborate with team to develop and implement educational plans.
• Complete clerical duties related to student programming and attendance records.
• Provide supervision in playgrounds, lunchrooms, halls, and media center.
• Participate in staff development and professional growth activities.
