Job summary

McLean County Unit District No Glenn seeks two Paraprofessional - Special Education staff to support students with learning disabilities, autism, or mild behavioral needs in a general education setting.

You will work with classroom teachers to prepare materials, supervise students, and implement behavior strategies while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a registered license with the Regional Office of Education #17 at time of hire.
• Excellent oral and written communication to interact with staff and the public.
• Ability to enforce school regulations professionally.
• Maintain good working relationships with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate instructional efforts with classroom teachers.
• Prepare lesson materials and displays as needed.
• Present subject matter under teacher direction using lectures, discussions, or role-plays.
• Support students with disabilities and maintain confidentiality.
• Supervise students in all school settings and on field trips.
• Help with self-care needs and adaptive equipment as required.
