Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of college (48 credits) with required courses or an Associate’s degree or higher.
• Passing score of 450 on the ETS Parapro Exam or equivalent qualifying measure.
• General computer use and email proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom environment.
• Help with inventory and care of classroom equipment.
• Assist in maintaining administrative records and required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Support students with physical disabilities, including transfers and positioning as needed.
• Assist with personal care tasks under supervision, including feeding and hygiene.
• Help manage student behavior and assist in crisis situations when necessary.
• Support development of motor skills through group or individual activities.
• Monitor students during lunch, bus, and on playground duties.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies.
