Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Associate degree or 48 college hours or ESSA equivalent
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate required
• Experience with children preferred
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment.
• Help with records and reports.
• Provide orientation to substitute teachers.
• Assist with student transfers and personal care as needed.
• Supervise students during meals, bus, and recess.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff development.
