Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with children in a professional/school setting
• Current CPI or Safety Care certification
• Knowledge of autism, emotional and behavioral disorders
• Understanding child development, learning styles, and behavior management

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups with instruction
• Provide basic instruction in abilities and skills developmentally appropriate to students
• Support students with complex needs under supervision of teachers
• Collaborate with Special Education teachers and building staff
• Maintain classroom environment and handle confidential information
