Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification: Must hold or be eligible for New Hampshire Paraeducator II certification.
• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Understanding of child development (birth to 22) and diverse learning styles.
• Knowledge of educational laws, regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to safely assist students with disabilities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Empower student learning by guiding individuals or small groups in reading, writing, math, and life skills.
• Foster a supportive environment using varied teaching strategies, behavior management, and adaptable instruction styles.
• Collaborate as a core classroom team member with strong communication and problem-solving to support student activities.
• Utilize office software, educational tools, student databases, and assistive learning technologies to enhance the classroom experience.
• Maintain trust and confidentiality while following through on student responsibilities in a student services setting.
