Job summary

Lewis-Palmer School District in Monument, CO is seeking a full-time Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-27 school year to support students with severe needs in the Middle School's Severe Needs Program. You will work one-on-one or in small groups following individualized education plans and collaborate with a dedicated team.

Starting wage is $19.95–$21.51 per hour, with eligibility for Colorado PERA retirement and health insurance benefits.

Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a special education paraprofessional beginning with the 2026-27school year. Must be willing and able to work withstudents with severe needs in the Severe Needs Program at our Middle School.Must be willing and able to support students with a variety of special needs.Must be a flexible team player and have the genuine desire to work with middle school ages.Must be able to assist in small group activities or work one-on-one to follow the educational support plans for the students.


This is a full time position, working on all student contact days plus three professional development days determined by the principal. The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.95 - $21.51depending on previous experience. A higher starting wage rate may be granted to applicants who hold one of the following: a current Colorado educator's license, bachelor's degree, RBT certification, CNA license or RMA/CMA certificate. This position is full time, 7.5 hrs per day, and is eligible for benefits.



  • All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA.

  • Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
