Job summary

North Penn School District invites applications for the Special Education Paraprofessional - Secondary (Anticipated) at Penndale Middle School and North Penn High School. The role supports students with IEPs, under supervision, in both special and general education settings, with duties ranging from instructional support to personal care.

Schedule is 7 hours per day, 183 days per year, with starting pay at $25.37/hour and commensurate raises to $27.63/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 2 years of higher education preferred.
• Continued education/certification as required by state/federal mandates.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists with data collection and progress monitoring of IEP goals and assessments.
• Modifies curriculum and instructional activities as directed.
• Provides individualized or small-group instruction and reinforcement of learning.
• Monitors and reinforces behaviors per behavior plans.
• Assist with physical needs and safety of students, including lifting or restraining as needed (according to policy).
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
