Job summary

The School District of the Chathams is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support students and educators at Washington Avenue School. The role focuses on guiding instructional activities, assisting with diverse student needs, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of thirty college credits from an accredited college or university.
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student learning and development.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from teachers and administrators.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in using educational technology.
• Knowledge of child development and educational practices is a plus.
• Must pass background checks and any other required screenings prior to employment.
